It was a classic autumn day in Maine; cool and rainy in the morning which gave way to a warm and clear afternoon. October 17th was turning out to be a great day to get married. As Stephanie, the bridesmaids, and her mother Sheri scurried around the guesthouse getting their hair and makeup done, Tyler and his groomsmen enjoyed a quiet moment to cheers one another as they looked out over Casco Bay.
The intimate ceremony was tented on the front lawn of the house, yielding distant views of nearby islands. As family and close friends arrived, they were greeted with classic Covid wedding swag; custom masks, hand sanitizers, and a warm blanket in case they found the outdoor socially distanced ceremony a bit brisk.
The tent was adorned with soft white and green flower arrangements. As the bride was escorted to her awaiting groom by her father, they journeyed down an aisle of romantic gold lanterns below and soft basket lighting above. Assigned seating was displayed on tags with classic coastal colors of white and blue.
The Jason Spooner Band engaged the guests with personalized music as they stood to congratulate the new Mr. and Mrs. and watch them head out of the tent. Delicious appetizers and drinks were shared among the guests as they enjoyed their cocktail hour after the ceremony.
This intimate group then headed to Royal River Grill House in Yarmouth, one of the bride’s favorite spots. Here, the bride and groom shared their first dance and listened to some heartfelt speeches and toasts from those most important to them. Under the enchanting rope lights of the restaurant’s deck, a three-tiered wedding cake with large gold leaves sat to the side of the eight round dining tables. Family and friends gathered to share an outstanding meal together of surf and turf and the bride and groom’s favorite- Truffle Fries.
The Jason Spooner Band provided soft dinner music throughout the evening and after the cake was served, everyone said their goodbyes and reiterated their well-wishes to the newlyweds. It may not have been the wedding they had once envisioned prior to Covid, but in the end, it was everything they could have wanted and more.
We are so excited to celebrate our love, and would have loved to have shared the day with you. Unfortunately COVID-19 restrictions limited us to family members only.
